Anyone know of any write-ups of Institutional Repository backup/DR implementations? @nicolibrarian maybe?
@K8Zo talked to Lakeside recently, would liked to have seen more info from the vSphere level.
@K8Zo don’t have anything bad to say about either of those tools/organizations. Last I talked to Liquidware they didn’t have pool reporting.
@iShBuu you aren’t the first person I’ve heard name that as a plan. #WontNameNames
@iShBuu if the price for vCOPs (and the accompanying support) were easier to take, I’d probably be tweeting about my new install of vCOPs
@iShBuu don’t want to end up maintaining any more half-written/documented code than I have to.
@iShBuu cycle around to getting close to tearing into event DB, find another possibility to look at, then repeat.
@iShBuu Trying to chase max concurrent usage for each pool. — If event db had session IDs shared across start & end events would use that.
Surely there’s a straight forward way to report on usage in non-persistent VDI that deploys easily and comes at a reasonable cost!
@K8Zo also have spent some time this week looking at reporting/monitoring tools for VDI, seems to have turned into a never ended quest.
@K8Zo Not a problem, 140 characters limited how clearly I could state things.
@K8Zo “Support tool for generating additional Unidesk environment reports” unidesk.com/forum/feature-…
@K8Zo Well ok, that may not be entirely true. The new reporting tool from support looks GREAT, but haven’t had time to dive into it yet.
@K8Zo had a couple of days at a TN wide higher ed IT conference, back in the office now. Not sure anything I’ve come back to is tweet worthy
